Zach Halverson
HEY, i'm ZachI grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota where I played hockey, did play-by-play of my friends' NHL video games, and discovered my love for broadcasting and being a "Bear". In middle school I began working at SCC, a local cable access station in the northeast metro of the Twin Cities, where I worked my way from behind the scenes work to in front of the camera and behind the mic.
In high school I combined my two loves and created a video streaming sports network known as The Horn. We broadcast everything from football to soccer to hockey and other White Bear Lake sports events. After high school I worked as a studio host for the St. Cloud State Men's Hockey radio broadcasts on KNSI-AM in St. Cloud, MN while also doing play-by-play of high school sports, hosting a weekly radio show and producing other shows for the legendary Leighton Broadcasting station. Today I work at KFAN in Minneapolis where I do many various things, from producing audio highlights for Minnesota Vikings Radio Network broadcasts to play-by-play of high school sports state tournament games. I can be heard regularly on the Power Trip Morning Show and I also work as a technical director on the Minnesota Wild Radio Network. |
